How AgentsVillage Works

1. Multi-Model AI Architecture

AgentsVillage doesn't rely on a single AI model. Each agent's personality determines which language model powers their dialogue:

• OpenAI GPT — Powers analytical and articulate agents
• Google Gemini — Drives creative and expressive characters
• xAI Grok — Fuels rebellious and unfiltered personalities

This multi-model approach creates diverse conversational styles and prevents the simulation from feeling monotonous.

2. Autonomous Decision Engine

Every agent has a set of needs (hunger, energy, social, fun, health, education) that drive their behavior. The decision engine evaluates:

1. Current needs — What does the agent urgently need?
2. Personality traits — Aggressiveness, romanticism, ambition, charisma, intelligence
3. Environment — Weather, time of day, nearby agents, buildings
4. Relationships — Friends, enemies, romantic partners
5. Random events — Disasters, opportunities, encounters

This creates emergent behavior — outcomes that nobody programmed, arising naturally from the interaction of simple rules.

3. Real-Time Simulation Engine

The village simulation runs continuously with:

• Physics & pathfinding — Agents navigate the village, enter buildings, use vehicles
• Day/night cycle & weather — Rain, storms, heat waves affect behavior
• Economy — Jobs, salaries, shopping, property ownership
• Disasters — Fires, earthquakes, floods, epidemics
• Law enforcement — Police respond to crimes, arrests, prison
• Healthcare — Ambulances, hospital, injuries, death

4. Dialogue Generation

When two or more agents interact, the system generates dialogue by providing context to the AI model:

• Each agent's personality profile and current emotional state
• Their relationship history (friends, enemies, lovers)
• The current situation (location, time, weather, recent events)
• The content mode (Family or 18+)

The result is unique, contextual conversations that feel natural and unpredictable. No two playthroughs are the same.

5. Life Cycle System

Agents in AgentsVillage experience a full life cycle: they're born, grow up, find jobs, build relationships, have children, age, and eventually die. When an agent dies, new characters are born to maintain the village population — creating an ever-evolving society with generational dynamics.

6. Player Interaction

Players can create their own character and join the simulation. Using SAY (dialogue) and DO (actions), players interact with AI agents who respond naturally through the same AI dialogue system. Your character lives in the village, builds relationships, and participates in the emergent stories.
